Services relating to children
We will always seek to reduce the tension and any issues between parties whilst keeping the best interests of the children as the main focus at all times.
At JC Solicitors, we understand that a relationship breakdown can have a huge impact on children and issues relating to children need to be handled sensitively and carefully. The welfare of the children is always the main consideration when dealing with any matter arising from a relationship breakdown.
No matter if you are currently going through a relationship breakdown or if you have been separated from the other parent for some time, we will always seek to reduce tensions and provide an understanding and sensitive approach to resolving issues between you.
The law relating to arrangements for children can cover a wide spectrum of issues, including where a child should live and how often a child should see a parent. The court can be asked to make a decision on more specific issues where parents cannot agree, including taking a child on holiday, changing schools, changing a child’s name and relocating a child within the UK / abroad.
If you are ever concerned for a child’s safety or wellbeing, please contact the relevant emergency services or your local Children’s Services. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s contact with the other parent or if you have experienced domestic abuse in the relationship, we offer a safe space for you to discuss your concerns and seek advice.
Although a court application may be necessary in some cases, if matters are amicable, it is possible to keep children matters out of the court process and parents can enter into a parenting agreement. This can be as detailed as required and can cover a wide range of issues.
